We have
important information for our Members!
In an
effort to keep current with Internal Revenue Codes and at
the same time simplifying the language of our By-Laws, we
have devoted much of the past year to the task of drafting a
more current, more compliant and easier to read version of
the Torch Lake Protection Alliance By-Laws. You will
be receiving a copy of these new By-Laws in the mail just
after July 4th. We will also include a brief summary
of the new By-Laws. At the 2009 August 4 Annual
Meeting we will ask you to ratify these By-Laws.
Please bring this information with you to the Annual
Meeting. If you have any questions regarding the
By-Laws, or any other issue, please call us before the
August 4 meeting so that we may have the time and resources
to effectively answer you. 231-409-7034.
Your Taste
of Torch Invitation will also be included in this mailing.

and download a copy of the existing By-Laws, please click on

Welcome to the Torch Lake Protection Alliance web site.
Thank you
for visiting our site. We are in the process of completely
overhauling our web site as well as the internet services we plan to
offer our members so please be
patient as we work to develop it into a productive, informative and
fun place for you and your family to visit. We welcome your
feedback: your comments, questions, and recommendations, our goal is
to make this site a valuable tool for our members and a way for
non-members to see the value in becoming a member of our
organization.
Membership
in the Torch Lake Protection Alliance provides a unifying voice for
riparians who regard the preservation of Torch Lake a top priority,
enabling this generation and those of the future to enjoy full use
of this geological jewel. We aim to be good neighbors within
our communities; keeping informed and prepared thus insuring safe
and enjoyable uses of the lake by everyone. We will be
knowledgeable teachers; providing necessary information, guidance,
leadership and opportunities for the entire community to learn the
best ways in which to work together for the benefit of the lake.
If you are not a member
of TLPA, please enjoy the site as well. By browsing through
our site, you should gain a better idea of what Torch Lake
Protection Alliance is about. Take your time to look through
the site and discover that being a member in TLPA is not only
worthwhile but a commitment to a common goal which is to protect and
preserve Torch Lake so that families, business and communities can
thrive and enjoy this environmental jewel. Many of your neighbors
are members, so please join them and support all of us through TLPA
membership.
We are in the process of completely renovating our web site.
Soon, you will be able to access important information about
Torch Lake and the surrounding communities. If you are a
member, you will receive special bulletin notices, updated
reports and have access to your membership information.
You will be able to pay your dues online, sign-up a new member,
check the status of your membership, keep up with local issues,
follow the projects your Board is working on, donate to TLPA,
order your Taste of Torch tickets and much more. All this
will be on a secure site and will be password protected.
We do need your email address. Look for your 2009 Membership
Renewal Form that will be coming to you shortly.
